Strikers Golf Invitational - "Four Man Scramble"
Firewheel Golf Club May 12, 2012

North Texas Soccer Club will be hosting the 4th Annual Strikers Invitational Golf Tournament on May 12, 2012 at Firewhell Golf Club to benefit local youth soccer players. The North Texas Strikers Soccer Clubs’ philosophy is "Quality Soccer at an Affordable Price". We offer professional coaching to each player, along with the opportunity to grow and develop as a well rounded soccer player. In addition we provide scholarships for individual players to assist with the cost of select, competitive soccer.

The Strikers Invitational Golf Tournament is an event that will benefit families of the North Texas Strikers. Last year the North Texas Strikers Soccer Club awarded over $30,000 in Financial Aid to our families that could not otherwise participate in select soccer. We are asking for your support in the form of a sponsorship by participation in our tournament or donations, to help our Strikers families and to make our Golf tournament a great success.

 

All for just $90/player -or- $360/4 Man Team.

Kathleen Pruneau 95 Girls
University of Houston at Victoria commitment

COLLEGE COMMITMENT

 Kathleen will attend the University of Houston at Victoria, with a commitment being finalized. Kathleen has been the starting goalkeeper of the North Texas Strikers 95 Girls team since U-12. As the team co-captain, she has been a team leader, instrumental in the many success of the 95 Girls team.

01 Boys Classic League Champion

 The North Texas Strikers Boys 01 team ended the season with a 1st place, Championship finish.  This was the team’s first year in select soccer and after many close games and come from behind games, they have gained an understanding and experience of what it takes to have a winning season. The 01 Boys have earned a bye for their next year in the Classic Division II. 

 

99 Boys Classic League Champion

 The Boys 99 team ended their season with a 1st place Championship finish.  The boys have earned a bye into next year’s Classic Division II league.  They have the winning momentum and we are looking forward to an even better post tournament season.

 

 

2012 Lonestar Girls College Showcase
95 Girls

Congratulations to the 95 Girls for their success at the Lonestar Showcase tournament in Austin, Texas.  The girls tied for the highest points in the 95 Girls age group which had 24 teams.  The 95 Girls were undefeated, scoring 11 goals with no goals scored against them.  The girls had an impressive showing with many college coaches watching.  Great Job!

NORTH TEXAS STRIKERS COLLEGE NIGHT

If you missed the North Texas Strikers College Night you missed a great evening of valuable information from presenters, Dean Wurzberger and David Dickerson

Both speakers provided information from two different angles concerning the next level in the pursuit of higher education and collegiate athletics.  We look forward to future presentations.  Special thanks also to New World United Methodist Church for the use of their great church facilities and the CSR Stars for being a co-sponsor of the event.

Triumph Winter Cup

CONGRATULATIONS to the 99 Boys Team.  They were the Finalists in the Triumph Winter Cup Tournament.

ALL-ATLANTIC SUN SECOND TEAM

Spartanburg, S.C. – After completing arguably its best season playing on the Division I level and in the Atlantic Sun Conference, the USC Upstate men’s soccer team was well represented as the league announced its postseason honors Monday with five Spartans earning postseason awards.

Upstate had three players named A-Sun Second Team All-Conference, one on the All-Freshman team and one on the Academic All-Conference team. Dylan Hoop (Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio), John Kadane (Jr., Garland, Texas) and Jason McCabe (Irmo, S.C.) earned second team All-Conference honors, Dave Musambi (Ottawa, Ontario) was named to the All-Freshman team and Timo Foerster (Oberkirk, Germany) was named to the Academic All-Conference squad.
 
"I am very happy that these players have received these recognitions," said Upstate head coach Dr. Greg Hooks. "It is a reflection of our entire team. I believe our program is heading in the right direction in competing within our conference."

2011 TEAM CAPTAIN

2011 (Jr.): Started all 21 games for the Mustangs... Averaged over 89 minutes per game; played 1874 minutes on the season... Played the duration of 16 games... Collected an assist on the game-winning goal 11/11 vs. South Carolina in the C-USA semifinals... Earned an assist 10/1 against No. 14 UCF.

2010 (So.): Played in 19 games, starting 18... Saw time at forward, midfield and defense for the Mustangs... Netted the overtime game-winning goal 11/5 vs. FIU... Recorded an assist 9/19 against Bradley... Added a helper 9/4 against Lipscomb... Scored his first career goal, a double-overtime game winner, in the 103rd minute 9/1 vs. Missouri State.

2009 (Fr.): Played in 12 games, starting nine... Earned an assist 10/6 vs. Seattle... Played 90 minutes or more in six games.

Prior to SMU: Played for the U.S. U-17 National Team and plays defender for the Region III ODP... Ranked as the No. 45 recruit on TopDrawerSoccer.com... An All-District honoree... Played club for North Texas Strikers.
